Children per woman vs. contraceptive prevalence

Contraceptive prevalence is the percentage of women who are practicing, or whose sexual partners are practicing, any form of contraception. It is usually measured forwomen aged 15-49 who are married or in union.

Note: The total fertility rate is the number of children that would be born to a woman if she were to live to the end of her child-bearing years and give birth to children at the current age-specific fertility rates.
